LAMB’S LETTUCE
The small and fragile leaves of lamb’s lettuce are almost completely devoid of bitterness. It is used in the kitchen just like lettuce – raw, as a base for salads and snacks. Velvety in taste, it is perfect for all kinds of dishes. Thanks to a slightly nutty note, it perfectly complements the composition with expressive sauces in meat dishes, but also creates an interesting base for combinations with fruit, caramelized onions and intense cheeses.
Lamb’s lettuce is a rich source of vitamin C and potassium. Only 100g of this plant fills half of the daily requirement for vitamin C and about 150% of the requirement for vitamin A. It also has a low glycemic index, so it is conducive to a diabetic diet.
